Cancellation Policy
Please note that I have a 48-hour cancellation policy. This means that if you cancel your session less than 48 hours before the session, payment for the session remains due. This is because I have reserved the time exclusively for you and if you cancel the session without adequate notice, I’m unable to fill the slot by offering it to somebody else. My policy is therefore in place to encourage your commitment to your therapy process as well as to protect my own income. This is common practice in psychotherapy and counselling.
If you are unable to attend due to illness, I will always do my best to offer an alternative appointment time in the same week, so that you are still able to have your session. If this is not possible for you, payment for the session will nonetheless remain due.
It can sometimes bring up feelings when you are required to pay for a session you didn’t attend, particularly due to illness. When we have an appointment together, it’s like buying tickets to an event. If you're not able to go for any reason, you still need to pay. Sometimes this can bring up uncomfortable feelings. If this is the case, we will always allow time and space for you to process these. In my experience, this often results in increased self-awareness and growth.
